DNQ Special / New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday admitted that the UGC-NET English, Commerce, and Sociology papers contained numerous errors and repeated questions, stating that these deficiencies were so numerous that they could not be corrected by simply removing questions after the answer challenge process. It has ordered a fresh examination for all three subjects.
The re-examination will be held on September 9 and 10. The English exam will be held on September 9 from 9 am to 12 noon, the Commerce exam from 3 pm to 6 pm on the same day, and the Sociology exam on September 10 from 9 am to 12 noon. No additional examination fee will be charged.
This decision came hours after the NTA released provisional answer keys for 84 of the 87 UGC-NET subjects, but the answer keys for these three papers were withheld nearly seven weeks after the June exam. Source: TOI
